Sociologist, urban planner and PHD in architecture, Yves Hanin teaches regional development and planning at the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium). His fields of research are metropolization, the decision support in planning, regional and local development. He directs the Center for Research and Studies for Territorial Action.

Mathieu Van Criekingen

Mathieu van Criekingen is a geographer, a professor at the Department of Geography and researcher at the ULB IGEAT-ULB. His research focuses on the issues raised by contemporary transformations of urban spaces in Brussels, Belgium and Europe. His working hypothesis is that there is no urban issues disconnected from the social question.

Mathieu Strale is a PhD student in geography. He works in the Applied Geography and Geomaketing Unit of the Institute for Environmental Management and Land-use Planning in Université Libre de Bruxelles (IGEAT-ULB). His researches are related to the location of logistics activities and their territorial impacts, in relation with public policy.

Architect and urban planner, graduated from ISA Saint-Luc (Brussels) and Sint-Lucas (Brussels), Barbara Fort studies the Walloon urbanized densification fabrics in terms of quality of life. She began a doctoral thesis on the production of urban intensity in the Brussels metropolitan area.
